Chicago Med season 3 episode 4 preview: Is Dr. Charles putting his life on the line?

Chicago Med season 3 episode 4 is airing on NBC on December 12, and there could be a familiar theme with this one: Dr. Charles being in danger. As you saw in the premiere, this is a man who feels a certain sense of responsibility for what happened to the man who shot him. While he wanted to institutionalize the man, Dr. Sarah Reese took a different approach.

Is this going to be the end of this story? Far from it. What you’re going to see in Chicago Med season 3 episode 4 (entitled “Naughty Or Nice”) is a story that throws Dr. Charles back into this world and as a result of that, challenges him in some ways that you would not expect Check out the synopsis that CarterMatt has for you below:

12/12/2017 (10:00PM – 11:00PM) (Tuesday) : DR. CHARLES PUTS HIS LIFE ON THE LINE TO HELP A PATIENT – Dr. Charles (Oliver Platt) learns a troubling fact about the man who shot him. Dr. Rhodes (Colin Donnell) and Dr. Bekker (Norma Kuhling) come to an agreement during a complicated surgery. Will (Nick Gehlfuss) and Natalie (Torrey DeVitto) are trapped by legal ethics when an unfaithful husband refuses to tell his wife about his inconclusive Zika test. Meanwhile, April (Yaya DaCosta) and Noah (guest star Roland Buck III) discover working together isn’t always easy while Goodwin (S. Epatha Merkerson) continues to argue with the board over hospital costs after an avoidable patient death. Marlyne Barrett, Brian Tee and Rachel DiPillo also star. Marina Squerciati, Elias Koteas and Eddie Jemison guest star.

Hey, look at that — there is a Chicago PD crossover of sorts coming up in this episode! It’s exciting that we’re going to have a chance to see Squerciati and Koteas on here; even if it’s par for the course with this show for familiar faces to turn up it’s still always exciting. It’s also nice that we get to see some of this given that Chicago Med is starting so late in the season and it should help to fill the One Chicago void with some of the other shows on a holiday hiatus.

As for April and Noah’s struggles working together, is anyone really that surprised? That’s what happens when you work with someone you care about.
