The Gifted episode 9 return date; what are season 2 odds?

There are a couple of different things we want to touch on within this article; let’s start with The Gifted episode 9 return date. The Fox comic-book series featuring Stephen Moyer and others is going to be on hiatus next week in the aftermath of the Thanksgiving Day holiday. Yet, this is not the final appearance of the show you are going to have this coming season. You will see The Gifted episode 9 air come December 4 at 9:00 p.m. Eastern time, and that is going to be a fairly integral episode given that there are some significant family revelations that will be made clear in it.

Reed reveals details to Andy and Lauren about the Struckers’ family history that could prove to be a game-changer in the all-new “outfoX” episode of THE GIFTED airing Monday, Dec. 4 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.”

Now, let’s spend a moment looking beyond just this next episode and towards a bigger picture: Whether or not this series could have a future. If there is one word that we would use in order to describe the season 1 run of The Gifted at the moment, it’d be “solid.” We don’t exactly think that the show is generating anywhere near the numbers that it needs to in the event that its final goal is to be on the air for six seasons; yet, it’s probably performing well enough to get a season 2 renewal. It’s averaging around a 1.1 rating in the 18-49 demographic, which puts it above many of the other scripted entities on Fox on the moment beyond Empire and STAR. It is averaging better numbers than such other series as Lethal Weapon, Lucifer and Gotham, and it is doing that despite airing in a fairly competitive timeslot opposite both The Voice and Dancing with the Stars. The only thing we’re somewhat concerned about is that through nine episodes, we are not quite seeing The Gifted do a whole lot in order to generate a ton of press within the mainstream.

Fox has yet to make a decision on a second season; they also aren’t in any real hurry to make one. Let’s see what happens with the ratings the next few weeks, especially with this December 4 episode after the hiatus.
