Sheree Whitfield’s disco party takes center stage on Real Housewives of Atlanta

There are many exciting things coming up on The Real Housewives of Atlanta Sunday night, but doesn’t Sheree Whitfield’s disco party have to be number one on the list? There have been many parties that we’ve seen on this series (and on the franchise in general) over the years, and we’d file most of them under one category: Ridiculous drama. There are so many occasions where we have seen these parties serve as a backdrop for epic arguments. All of the glitz, glamour and  cocktails have a tendency to blend together – it’s the fights that stand out.

We like these parties more when they have some sort of ridiculous theme for two different reasons: Funny antics and more memorable-fights. For example, if there’s going to be a crazy argument isn’t it much more entertaining when it happens with someone wearing a ridiculous costume? We like to think so. Here you’ve got the women dressed up in their best disco outfits, and for the most part the video below suggests that everyone’s going to have a good time strutting their stuff along the dance floor! There is no indication that there is trouble coming up with any of the women and that’s nice to see from a preview — even though it’s probably not actually accurate for how the remainder of the episode is going to go. Remember for a moment here that this is an episode that is teasing in the previews that a terrible Sheree meltdown is coming over the party planning — something that is teased more in the official synopsis that CarterMatt has for you below:

Porsha clings to her family after losing yet another friend, but is shocked by accusations from her sister. Meanwhile, a new man challenges Cynthia’s singles game. After an unexpected incident, NeNe is suddenly left home alone to fend for herself, while Kenya struggles to find new ways to connect with her long-distance husband. Shereé plans to turn the Chateau into a disco palace, only to have the dance floor pulled out from under her when the party planner leaves her in a serious bind.

Out of everything in here, what we care about the most is seeing how Kenya and NeNe are going to feel in a situation where they are somewhat alone. That is not an easy feeling for anyone to cope with, and we feel like it’s going to be a struggle for them.
