LL Cool J, Chris O’Donnell, cast celebrate NCIS: Los Angeles 200th episode
In the video below (courtesy of the fine folks over at CBS) you have an opportunity to celebrate alongside Chris O’Donnell, Eric Christian Olsen, LL Cool J, Daniela Ruah, and many others as they talk about their experience getting to be on this show for so long. It’s a crazy, incredible experience for all of them — there aren’t many opportunities for a show to celebrate this milestone mostly because so few make it to this point.
You get a sense in this video of the gratitude that all of them have for being able to have this job, and continue to do it beyond this point. Many of these actors have been there from the very beginning and understand just what a special this journey has been. Judging from what some of them say, the 100th episode is going to serve as a pretty-great opportunity in which everyone in the cast will flex a few different acting muscles. There are some action sequences, some emotional moments, and probably some opportunities to laugh. It’s vintage NCIS that way.
Perhaps the best thing about this video — beyond the fact that Linda Hunt is actually getting to be in the same room as most of the rest of the cast for the first time in forever — is that it doesn’t seem as though the show is anywhere close to the end of its run right now. The ratings are still strong, and the fan following remains very much active. There are still also several stories to tell — we need to see Sam continue to rebuild his life following the death of Michelle, and we’re also interested in seeing more of what happens with Deeks and Kensi. Obviously, there needs to be a wedding at some point! They’re already engaged, so now the show just needs to check off the next box. Maybe that will be a little later this season — or at least we hope.
The one bit of story scoop that is dropped in this video is that you’re going to have an opportunity to meet Nell’s sister. She’s someone who has a history of being rather controlling, and in whatever sort of screen time she has here she will do her best in order to keep that going.
