Blue Bloods season 8 episode 9 return date: Is Baez in trouble?

We’ve got the Blue Bloods season 8 episode 9 return date within this article, but there’s some other news that you should be worried about.

Specifically, we mean this for Marisa Ramirez’s role of Maria Baez. Is something going to happen to her? Could the character be leaving the show? In the wake of the stunning exit of Amy Carlson as Linda Reagan earlier this year, it feels easy to say that most fans of the show are feeling pretty paranoid right now — and for good reason. Nobody wants to see something like that happen!

Below, the Blue Bloods season 8 episode 9 synopsis offers up a little bit more insight as to what is going to be coming up next:

“Pain Killers” – As Danny and Baez join a narcotics task force to track down a drug supplier, Baez comes into contact with drugs and is soon fighting for her life from an accidental overdose. Also, Jamie and Eddie work to protect a rehabilitated sex offender whose neighbors are angry he lives in their apartment building, and Frank forms an unlikely alliance with Mayor Dutton, on BLUE BLOODS, Friday, Dec. 1 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

The Baez story is the one that has us the most nervous just because television has that terrible way of kicking characters while they’re down. Baez may not be as important to Danny as his late wife, but she’s a support system. Without her, he probably would not have made it through everything with Linda. He wouldn’t be on the other side.

As for what else we’re seeing here, it is good to see another Jamie / Eddie storyline after not having so many of them earlier on this season. This is going to be a tricky one for them just because of the case they’re having to work on here.

When it comes to Frank and Mayor Dutton, is anyone else low-key ‘shipping them? It could be rather interesting to see what that relationship could look like if it ever happens — they certainly are challenging each other and there’s something fun about that push and pull.
