Lethal Weapon season 2 episode 7 preview: Scottie Pippen and Riggs’ nightmares

Lethal Weapon season 2 episode 7

Lethal Weapon season 2 episode 7 airing on Fox next week may have one of the weirdest combinations seen to date: Riggs’ nightmares and Scottie Pippen. This episode may be in some ways very silly, yet in others it may actually be rather fun. You’ve got some fantastic Murtaugh paranoia and then Riggs as a tortured soul. Ironically the title for this episode is “Birdwatching,” and we don’t think that there is anything about this episode that is even remotely as peaceful as that hobby is. It actually sounds more like the you-know-what is going to be hitting fan.

The new Lethal Weapon season 2 episode 7 synopsis CarterMatt has for you below (courtesy of our pals at Fox)gives you a good sense of everything that is coming up:

Riggs and Murtaugh investigate the death of a surfer. Meanwhile, Murtaugh grows suspicious of Trish’s new friend, with whom she’s been working on a charity event – and then learns it’s NBA champion Scottie Pippen. Also, Riggs has violent nightmares that bring up scars from his childhood in the all-new “Birdwatching” episode of LETHAL WEAPON airing Tuesday, Nov. 21 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. (LET-207) (TV-14 L, V)

The premise of Pippen is one of the most curious parts of this episode, mostly because of the fact that it’s such a random inclusion into the cast. This is a man whose fame comes mostly from the NBA, but it was also years ago and that he is best known as a Chicago Bull — we’re not quite sure what the affection towards him is going to be out where Riggs and Murtaugh are in Los Angeles.

As for Riggs’ nightmares, that’s mostly going to be interesting in explaining more of how this character ended up becoming the man that he is. He’s been through great emotional trauma, and at this point we really just hope that he finds a way to emerge on the other side in one piece. Even if things look okay with him right now thanks to the relationships he’s building with Riggs, we’re seeing throughout this season that he still has demons and is still capable of not falling on the right side of the law.
