Dancing with the Stars 25 elimination: Who went home before finale?

Dancing with the Stars elimination

Tonight’s Dancing with the Stars elimination is the last one before the final round of the competition. As a result of that, there are going to be some upset fans no matter what happens. This is the point where everyone left is pretty good!

Before getting to the elimination itself, let’s size up the remaining Dancing with the Stars field for a moment — Victoria Arlen, Frankie Muniz, Jordan Fisher, Drew Scott, and Lindsey Stirling. In some ways, it doesn’t matter who goes home when unless the goal for some of the remaining people is that they get to perform a freestyle or something. After all, everyone other than Jordan and Lindsey can probably hang it up right now. They are by far the two best participants on the show and it’s really not close.

Of the remaining group, we will say that Drew is probably the person most suited to go home just because he’s the worst dancer remaining — but he will probably stay, given that this is often what happens on the show. As much as we love the Property Brothers, that doesn’t mean he should move on because of that. Victoria was probably the other person in some degree of danger just because she’s been having some injury trouble.

Above all else, we were hoping that Frankie would stay alive after having some near-misses when it comes to eliminations in the past.

Who was actually eliminated?

In order, the couples who were declared safe were Lindsey & Mark Ballas, Drew & Emma Slater, and Jordan & Lindsay Arnold.

The “bottom two” tonight was Victoria vs. Frankie, and we were immediately worried about Frankie given what we’ve seen from some of the results as of late. Yet, Victoria and Val Chmerkovskiy were the two eliminated at the end.

The one thing we will say here is that while we were rooting for Frankie as a longtime sitcom fan, it was hard to not get choked up at Victoria’s reaction to going home. You could see just how badly she wanted this, and just how hard it was for her to say goodbye to a competition where she’d made so many good friends — including her partner. The two had a nice moment, and then she was embraced by many of the other contestants.
