Dancing with the Stars pro Lindsay Arnold injured, next performance in jeopardy
According to People Magazine, Lindsay’s status moving forward into Monday night’s new episode is in some jeopardy because of an injury that she sustained. Here is what a source had to say to the aforementioned publication:
“Lindsay injured her knee during camera blocking rehearsal Sunday morning while working on a number with the troupe … Lindsay is hopeful she’ll be cleared to dance tomorrow but it will likely be touch and go until showtime Monday.”
Lindsay herself had the following to say on the subject:
“I was practicing the pro number and I literally just stepped up onto a stair and it felt like my whole leg gave out and stopped working and I thought it was just a one-time thing and then it happened a couple more times, just doing simple things … It’s frustrating because it’s the semi finals and I want to dance it with Jordan, and I just hope this doesn’t stop me from doing that.”
If Lindsay is unable to dance, another member of the troupe will likely step in to perform with Jordan Fisher, the current favorite to win the entire competition. He and Lindsay have been very strong from the onset of this season and given his athleticism and performance history, there’s no reason to think that he will be eliminated any time soon (if at all).
If she does take the night off, Jordan will probably be fine and that could give her a little more time to rest up to help her make it to the end of the season. There’s probably going to be a little more adrenaline from her and every other person left this season by the time they make it there. After all, once you make it to the finale you know that there is a light at the end of the tunnel and you just need to ride it out to withstand the final few days of grueling rehearsals and performances. Lindsay will have more time to rest on the other side of that, even if there is a holiday tour that many Dancing with the Stars pros are taking part in during the show’s hiatus.
