NCIS: Los Angeles season 9 episode 7 is going to be an episode like no other for Kensi Blye. Not only that, but we have some video proof of it!
In the video that CarterMatt has for you below, you can see some of what we’re talking about here as Kensi is forced to take on a major crisis. In “The Silo,” she finds herself as one of the few people who can stop a devastating nuclear attack. A few Air Force officers have taken over some nuclear launch centers, and because of the way in which they are structured it’s very difficult for anyone else to get in there and work to stop a crisis from happening. Kensi Blye, (to quote a certain Star Wars movie) is really their only hope thanks to a relationship that she once had with one of the men. She and this man’s sister are two of the only people who could convince this man to not go through with his plot — if they are able to do that, this means that they can save countless lives.
While Kensi may be very good at taking down bad guys in the field, what makes “The Silo” so interesting as a case is that it requires her to demonstrate a very different skill set and to flex a wide array of different muscles. This is more about her ability to be persuasive and figuring out a way to ensure that nothing terrible happens because of the actions of just a select few. We’re extremely psyched for this episode because it’s putting Daniela Ruah in the spotlight — we’re sure that other characters will be involved, but she is the only one who can seemingly turn the tide in this case.
(Random thought: Did anyone else think of Shemar Moore immediately when they saw the SWAT truck? We would’ve totally loved it if Hondo stopped by!)
