Blue Bloods season 8 episode 8 preview: Eddie’s past plays a role in a case

Blue Bloods season 8 episode 8 is airing on CBS next week, and this will prove to be a huge episode for Vanessa Ray’s Eddie. We’ve had a chance to learn bits and pieces of her past here and there, but we haven’t quite seen it play out like the way it’s going to during the episode “Pick Your Poison.”

“Pick Your Poison” – Eddie’s judgment is clouded by her past when she arrests a loathed acquaintance from college on questionable charges. Also, Frank is hesitant to mar the spotless record of a member of the force, a decorated U.S. military veteran, who tested positive for marijuana, on BLUE BLOODS, Friday, Nov. 17 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

By the end of this episode there is a reasonably good chance you will understand more of why Eddie relates to people the way that she does. People from your past often form your present in a wide array of different ways and we certainly believe that this is going to be the case here. No matter what happens, we mostly just hope that Eddie gets a chance to be the hero in the episode. Vanessa Ray only tends to have so many showcase episodes a season that when she does have one, we like to think that it should be one that gives her a chance to really shine. What better way to do that than to put her past aside and try to figure out if this past acquaintance is guilty or not?

As for the Frank storyline…

That’s probably going to be a polarizing one for viewers out there just because marijuana usage is not the sort of subject that people have neutral opinions on. Either they are strongly for it or strongly against it; applause to the Blue Bloods writers for taking the story on, but this is going to be a very difficult story to tell given that so much of the fandom is going to have strong opinions on it one way or another.
