Agents of SHIELD season 5: Adrianne Palicki open to return
The one good bit of news that we have on the subject is that she’s certainly game to come back — if given the opportunity. Palicki took part in a Reddit ask-me-anything session this week in order to promote The Orville, and when asked about a possible return for her SHIELD character of Bobbi Morse, she had the following to pass along in terms of her interest:
“If they asked me to come back for a few, I’d definitely do it! I loved playing Bobbie, and I loved the people I worked with. I hope they release the pilot. I saw it and loved it. But, everything for a reason, right?”
By “the pilot,” Palicki is referring to Marvel’s Most Wanted, a prospective series that did its best to get on the air on ABC well over a year ago. There were attempts on a couple of occasions to get the show off the ground, and the most recent iteration saw Bobbi and Lance Hunter trying to find a place for themselves after being more or less stranded without a country. Had it happened, it would have absolutely been a very different series from Agents of SHIELD in just about every way. We’re certainly thrilled for Adrianne that she has a permanent TV home now after a couple of attempts in pilot season. (Remember, this is someone who also had a notable struggle with Wonder Woman over at NBC.)
One of the best things about The Orville, (save for the show itself) is that they do relatively short seasons for network TV. In theory, there could be a way to make things work and she could do both this show and Agents of SHIELD for a few episodes.
For now, though, this is all wishful thinking, but there is certainly not anything wrong with wishing, right?
