Arrow season 6 episode 6 preview: ‘Richard Dragon’ and Slade’s continuation
For one, this episode is going to mark the second part of the two-part event centering around Slade Wilson — that’s exciting just because with this character there’s always potential for the pendulum to swing in any which direction. Beyond that, this episode seems to be the one that will introduce Kirk Acavedo for the first time as the show’s version of Richard Dragon, a prominent DC Comics villain who is serving as one of the more notable adversaries this season. You’ve had a chance to meet one of them already in Cayden James, and we already had another one in Black Siren carrying over from the past.
For a little more insight as to what’s coming, you don’t have to look any further than the Arrow season 6 episode 6 synopsis that CarterMatt has for you right now:
OLIVER MAKES A BIG DECISION – As Slade (guest star Manu Bennett) continues to uncover clues about his son’s last few years, Oliver (Stephen Amell) makes a big decision. Meanwhile, the Green Arrow (David Ramsey) leads the team into battle against “The Dragon,” a villain who is stealing valuable tech in Star City. Antonio Negret directed the episode written by Oscar Balderrama & Rebecca Bellotto (#606). Original airdate 11/16/2017.
Could this eventually be the episode that causes Oliver to put back on the Green Arrow costume? It’s coming at some point between now and when the upcoming crossover event happens, given that some of the first photos from that episode showcase Oliver wearing the hood once more.
The part of the story that we’re personally the most interested in seeing is learning more about Slade — we’re talking here not only about what’s happening in the present, but also some of his past. We also love that this episode is titled “Promises Kept,” a reference to a notable plotline in season 2 when Slade promised Oliver that he would make his life a living hell.
