Grey’s Anatomy season 14 episode 8 preview: First look at episode #301
(To be fair, we don’t think that Grey’s Anatomy gave the 300th episode the best outing ever, but that’s just our own opinion.)
Moving into the next episode of the show, this one is going to be taking on what is a tired-and-true storyline: A hack at the hospital that causes resources to be limited and forces the doctors to go back to their most-basic methods of treatment. This is a story that we’ve already seen on some other medical shows, whether it be Chicago Med or the now-canceled The Night Shift (rest in peace).

A hacker compromises the hospital’s computer system, causing monitors, phones, labs and patient files to all go down. As technology fails them, Bailey attempts to keep the peace but chaos erupts and the doctors are forced to get creative in their methods to treat the patients.
What we do want to see on Grey’s Anatomy moving forward now are some new chapters beginning for many of these characters, especially since some of their other stories seem to be wrapped up. Owen and Amelia are done, Ben is officially trying out life as a firefighter, Meredith no longer has Riggs in her life, and she also has the Harper Avery Award. One of the biggest ongoing stories is the return of Matthew Morrison as Dr. Paul Stadler, but based on the synopsis alone there is no indication this is coming up next week. (It will, however, be happening in the near future.)
The show has a blank page for many different characters — with that, there’s a chance for it to run wild and deliver what are hopefully some fun, interesting storylines.
