Gotham season 4 episode 9 spoilers: Professor Pyg’s dinner party
This upcoming episode is entitled “A Dark Knight: Let Them Eat Pie,” and that is the sort of title that would prove have us hungry were it not for the fact that we were talking about a villain that severs off pig’s heads. Professor Pyg is easily one of the grossest villains on the whole series, which we assume is very much the point of him. He’s meant to make you uncomfortable!
Below, the Gotham season 4 episode 9 synopsis CarterMatt has for you offers up some more details on what you can expect to see:
Professor Pyg continues to torment Gotham city, involving Jim Gordon whenever possible. Sofia and Penguin get ready for a fundraiser for the orphanage, and things don’t go as planned when Professor Pyg shows up as the chef. Meanwhile, Bruce’s partying gets in the way of his relationship with Alfred in the all-new “A Dark Knight: Let Them Eat Pie” episode of GOTHAM airing Thursday, Nov. 16 (8:00-9:01 PM ET/PT) on FOX.
This episode is going to be integral to the story no matter if Pyg lives or dies in it, given that his aftereffect will still remain. He’s the sort of person who, (like Jerome) could inspire other people to do some unspeakable acts of their own. That’s the sort of thing that makes these villains even more terrifying than they are already.
As for Bruce and Alfred, be prepared for this to be a part of a story arc that lasts for a little while. It took some time for Bruce to evolve in to this party animal who is sewing his wild oats all over the city, so it’s going to take some time in order for him to also get over this … if he ever does. After all, you do just have to remember that Bruce Wayne in the comics has a bit of a playboy in his personality — even though he knows how to control himself if need be.
