Law & Order: SVU season 19 episode 7 return date: The story of ‘Something Happened’
Last week, the show was off the air because of the World Series. Unfortunately, signs point to the show being off the air again next week and not returning until Wednesday, November 29. Why would the network do that to us? Well, it could be as simple as the producers trying to avoid some other competition and saving the bulk of their stories for the new year — this is, after all, something that they have done before.
The SVU season 19 episode 7 synopsis CarterMatt has for you below does give you a small sense as to what’s coming up next:
11/29/2017 (09:00PM – 10:00PM) (Wednesday) : Benson must disclose the secrets of her past to help a rape victim (guest star Melora Walters) recall the details of one terrible, traumatic night. Also starring Ice T (Det. Odafin Tutuola), Kelli Giddish (Det. Amanda Rollins), Raul Esparza (ADA Rafael Barba) and Peter Scanavino (Det. Sonny Carisi). Also guest starring Joanna Going (Leah Linwood), Crystal T. Johnson (Meg) and Ryan Buggle (Noah Porter-Benson).”
The appealing thing about this episode, (beyond of course the fact that it’s SVU) is that you are going to see Benson opening up regarding her past as a means to help ensure that a case gets solved. This is not something that you see on this show very often and the more we get to learn about Benson then better. The vast majority of the time SVU just stays focused on the present because there’s often not time for anything else. There are cases every week and ever-present problems for the entire SVU crew to take on.
We do at least know that we will be seeing Noah in this episode, and we hope that this marks a nice reprieve for Benson after a crazy past few weeks.
Could this be the last episode of SVU in the calendar year? The press release for the episode didn’t specify that, but it’s something that we’ll offer up more news on coming up shortly.
