Blue Bloods season 8 episode 7 preview: Danny’s case gets personal
With that, we bring you to the story of “Common Ground” airing on CBS in one week’s time. The synopsis CarterMatt has for you below gives you a little more of a sense as to precisely why this case matters so much more to Danny than any other one out there:
“Common Ground” – A case turns personal for Danny when he works to protect a nurse, Faith Madson (Jessie Mueller), from her violent ex-boyfriend. Also, Shelly Wayne (Cassandra Freeman), an acquaintance of Frank’s, comes to him with a theory regarding the death of an inmate, and Jamie and Eddie help deliver a baby, on BLUE BLOODS, Friday, Nov. 10 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
It’s easy to figure out just why Danny would be so personally impacted by this case: It’s a nurse, just like his wife Linda was a nurse. He’s going to do everything that he can in order to help her. Maybe psychologically, a part of this for him is trying to reconcile his guilt over not being able to help Linda. He shouldn’t feel guilty about that — it was an accident, and not one that he had any control over. Still, it’s Danny’s way to carry the weight of the world on his shoulders and trying to resolve that for him could take some time.
As for some of the other notable parts of this episode, we imagine that there is going to be some super-interesting stuff coming up when we see what happens with Jamie and Eddie delivering a baby. We know that for them dating is the next box they have to check off right now, but delivering a baby together might spark up some conversations. Maybe this makes them think about one milestone they could have together if they decide to have a romantic relationship down the road.

I hope Jamie and Eddie start dating and Eddie to join Sunday dinners. This is one of the most amazing things of blue bloods because if they were not getting together they would have never confessed their feelings for each other

to put Jamie and Eddie into dating would violate rules which were brought up some seasons ago. I would think with him being by the book and the Commissioner’s son his character wouldn’t do it no matter how attracted he is to Eddie. The only solution would be to not have them as partners which defeats the pairing in the show. Leave them as is

I don’t think so Jamie or Eddie can get promoted and date it would make the show a whole lot more interesting

I loved last weeks, portrait of Frank, and I hope the artist becomes part of the story line.
