SWAT episode 2 preview: What’s next for Shemar Moore, cast?

SWAT episode 2

Are you excited to see SWAT episode 2 on CBS next week? Following tonight’s premiere, this could be a big litmus test for the show.

No matter what the ratings for the first episode are, episode 2 is when we’ll see how many viewers cared to tune in a second time. Even if the show starts off low with around a 1.0-1.2 in the 18-49 demographic, that doesn’t look so bad if it retains that viewership every week. If it manages to start off with a 2.0 rating and it ends up losing half of that, it’s so much worse than if it was the other way around. That means that people aren’t happy with the end product. Personally, we don’t know why they wouldn’t be happy with what is a pretty high-octane, intense drama that doesn’t pull any punches. This is the sort of show we figured fans were hoping to see before the series even aired. Also, Shemar Moore. Do we really need to explain why that’s great?

Look below if you are interested in getting a few more SWAT episode 2 details:

“Cuchillo” – Hondo and the SWAT team spread out across Los Angeles in pursuit of four escaped convicts, including a violent criminal Jessica helped bring to justice, before department rival Mumford and his team beat them to the collars. Also, Hondo’s new role as team leader is called into question when Street displays a flagrant disregard for SWAT protocol, on S.W.A.T., Thursday, Nov. 9 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

This gives you a good sense that this show is going to be taking a very procedural approach in some ways, given that the escaped convicts represent a very different mission than anything that we saw on the show tonight.

As for the more personal story coming up, we don’t figure that anyone should be altogether shocked to learn about Street breaking the rules. After all, isn’t this what he did from the very onset of the premiere tonight? He showed up cutting it very close to being late, and he wasn’t even wearing the right uniform! He’s going to be a thorn in Hondo’s side for much of the episode.
