Scandal season 7 episode 6 preview: Let’s get cryptic

Want to know what’s ahead on Scandal season 7 episode 6? Well, we’ve got a feeling that ABC didn’t want you to know all that much about it in advance. They announced that the title for this episode is “Vampires and Bloodsuckers,” which is a little odd mostly because vampires and bloodsuckers are largely the same thing … or at least we like to think so when it comes to Washington DC.

“The final season continues with unexpected twists and turns for both the Gladiators and the White House.”

That is what they gave us. Yep. It may be one of the shortest synopses of all time and we have to figure that there is a fairly significant reason for that: They didn’t want to give a single shred of story away to tip their hat on something big coming up. This is the final season, and with that comes the ability for Scandal to operate with some sort of reckless abandon.

Maybe it’s possible that this will be the M.O. of Scandal for the rest of the season since they realize their inherent value at the moment. They understand that there’s no real reason to let anyone know anything about this story in advance given that they know everyone is going to tune in anyways to see how this story wraps up.

Here’s what we know

In the aftermath of tonight’s episode, Mellie has her work cut out for her trying to figure out where things go from here. The plane bound for Bashran exploded. President Rashad is seemingly dead, and so is the young woman who Quinn worked so hard to save.

As for Fitz, do you think that we’re really going to see him run back to Vermont? Well, that’s not exactly the way that he likes to do business. We firmly expect him to be back.

Here’s how mysterious ABC is being — they didn’t even air a promo for next week’s episode after Scandal tonight. Why do that with this cliffhanger ending in mind?
