Shark Tank preview: Drainwig, Novel Effect, Father Figure, and Brazyn Life

Drainwig

Shark Tank is coming your way with another new episode on Sunday night, and Brazyn Life, Father Figure, Novel Effect, and Drainwig are going to be trying to get a deal from the sharks. These products are going to be appearing in front of a very special panel, one that includes a first-time guest Shark in Sara Blakely. The Spanx founder is worth over a billion dollars and knows a thing or two about how to turn an idea into something that is used the entire world over. Can she or some of the other Sharks find similar success with some of these products? We’ll see…

For now, we want to share the attached synopsis before CarterMatt dives into some of the individual products that are going to be featured.

“Episode 902” – A graphic designer and a patent attorney from Olympia, Washington, have a high-tech way to make children’s story time more magical, but the Sharks are skeptical of their business model; a father from Brooklyn, New York, has a brand of functional paternity clothing for new dads; parents from Salem, Utah, bring in their five daughters to showcase a solution to hairy drain problems in the shower and bathtub; and a former pro football player and his business partner pitch a better version of a workout device.

Brazyn Life – It’s a collapsible foam roller that can be used for workouts, treatments, and just overall having good health. This is a way to aid your workout and it’s being pitched in the Tank as a great way to ensure that you are happy, healthy, and in great physical health without filling up your home with a wide array of workout equipment. These rollers are easy to put away and store.

Drainwig – This is probably one of the most practical products that we’ve seen in terms of solving what is a simple but frustrating problem: A clogged drain. You simply put in one of these, pull it out after a few months, and it helps to make sure your drain stays A-OK. Seems perfect for infomercials given its functionality and price point.

Father Figure – We’re on the fence about the name, mostly because it’s such a common phrase that it could be buried for those trying to search for it online. Beyond that, this is the sort of great idea we don’t know why it hasn’t been introduced before: Clothing for new fathers. This clothing makes it easier to hold and take care of new babies. They’re practical and comfortable at the same exact time.

Novel Effect – Finally, we turn to an app that is designed in part to make storytime fun and create a more interactive reading experience between parent and child. It brings beloved books to new audiences and only adds to the sense of fun and imagination that comes with reading. Anything that helps to convince young people to read is something that we can easily get behind.
