Will & Grace: Why they should have done a Halloween episode this year
So during this season of holiday themed episodes, there is one show we would have liked to see a Halloween episode from, since the holiday is next week. That would be Will & Grace. The hilarious revival is even funnier than the original and we believe that the writers could have done something really special and funny with the show. We feel as though some shows could hit it out of the park and here’s why we believe Will & Grace would have this year.
The characters – The four main characters have been making fans laugh for a very long time, even during the years it wasn’t on. With that being said and based on what the revival has given us so far, there’s no better show to give us a hilarious Halloween episode. You can literally throw these characters into any situation and it would be mess, but a funny mess that would be revolved before the episode’s end. Besides it would put them in a situation that we haven’t seen before. Do they like Halloween or do they not at this point in their lives? Or how will they handle the current generation of kids trick-or-treating? It would be great to find out.
The jokes – It’s very clear that many of the revival’s jokes stems from our present reality and each time they stick the landing. Depending on the plot of a Halloween episode it could have hard to keep the jokes coming throughout the episode that can combine the typical Will & Grace joke and a Halloween theme. However, the show has proven that it can handle anything you throw at them. For example, the opening episode of the revival made fun of our current reality, specifically the government, and the way the jokes were worded and presented you had to laugh no matter what your political views are. So we believe if you add the writers’ jokes with a funny and scary holiday together, the audience is in for some seriously laughs.
The plot – There are many avenues shows could have taken when doing a Halloween episode. For Will & Grace, we can see them doing a haunted house episode watching the four of them go through a haunted house screaming and trying not to curse. It would be hilarious and the writers would do a perfect job of taking a simple idea and have the audiences’ stomachs hurt. Another option could have been Will and Grace not wanting to give candy out, but kids in the building keep knocking on their door. Whatever the plot may be, it would surely be a winner. They definitely have had some great ones in the past.
