Arrow season 6 spoilers: Emily Bett Rickards on big Felicity episode
Do you love Arrow, and love Emily Bett Rickards’ character of Felicity Smoak? Then you’re probably going to want to make sure that you set aside some time to watch Thursday night’s episode.
Felicity has done a lot right since she first teamed up with Oliver Queen so many years ago; yet, it’s also pretty clear that she’s made some mistakes and done a few things along the way that she would probably love to take back. She’s human in that sense — we know very well at this point that Oliver has made a wide array of mistakes himself, and with that it absolutely makes sense that Felicity would be in the same boat.
A big part of the story from here is simply going to come out of seeing what’s going to happen as Felicity recovers from some of these errors — suffice it to say, she may not handle all of them the right way. She and Oliver do have a little bit of common in that when one of them screws up, the other one takes it upon themselves to try to carry the weight of the world on their shoulders. They don’t need to do that, but it’s pretty hard to convince either one of them not to. They both have a tendency to be stubborn like that.
In speaking about this hour of television in a new interview with Entertainment Weekly, Rickards passed along the following message about what you can expect to see:
“She refuses the team’s help for 75 percent of it … As we’ve seen before, Felicity doing that doesn’t always end up in her favor and is also nearsighted. It has to do with stealing some tech. It is one of my favorite episodes ever. I had one of the best times filming that episode, so hopefully you’ll like it.”
Will this episode be a story arc that carries over for a while? W ehere at CarterMatt certainly do hope so, especially if it does also feature an appearance from Michael Emerson as Cayden James. After all, he is one of the villains at the moment we are looking forward to seeing the most since Michael Emerson has played one of our favorite bad guys in television history – Ben Linus on Lost.
