Blue Bloods season 8 spoilers: Prepare for big Donny Wahlberg episode

Blue Bloods season 8

It feels almost like we are a broken record here at CarterMatt when we say that there is a big Donnie Wahlberg episode coming up on Blue Bloods season 8. After all, hasn’t he already had a wide array of them at this point? There have been more great performances from him than we can count, and the reality we feel at the moment is that he will only be bringing us more in the weeks to come.

This brings us now to the episode called “Common Ground,” which is going to air come Friday, November 10. Why do we believe that this is going to be a powerful hour for Wahlberg and his character Danny? Well, it is tied very much to the fact that he will be trying to help out a nurse in need who is going through something terrible. As you almost certainly know at this point, Linda was a nurse, and he would do anything to help nurses. Her death is still fresh, and he will view this as a chance to help another nurse who needs every bit of support possible. We’re also of course very much interested in knowing whether or not he knows her and she is a former colleague of Linda’s and if there is some kind of connection there.

The synopsis below for “Common Ground” offers up a little bit more news when it comes to this storyline:

“Common Ground” – A case turns personal for Danny when he works to protect a nurse, Faith Madson (Jessie Mueller), from her violent ex-boyfriend. Also, Shelly Wayne (Cassandra Freeman), an acquaintance of Frank’s, comes to him with a theory regarding the death of an inmate, and Jamie and Eddie help deliver a baby, on BLUE BLOODS, Friday, Nov. 10 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

For those of you who are not altogether familiar with Jessie Mueller, you really should be. She’s a great performer and a mainstay of the theater who has performed in Waitress, which is based on a movie that we absolutely adore.

For Jamie and Eddie fans out there, don’t you think that delivering a baby would bring them a little bit closer together? Their job already puts them in intense situations (which many times builds intense connections), but we do think that delivering a baby together may spark some conversations. While we certainly don’t think the show is hurrying anything along with their relationship, these kinds of conversations are something we would like to see happen.

Excited for another big Donnie Wahlberg performance?
