Grey’s Anatomy season 14 episode 6 preview: Jesse Williams’ Jackson on the high season
The title for this episode is a little over-the-top — “Come on Down to My Boat, Baby” — but there are two reasons for that. First of all, a big part of the episode is going to revolve around Jackson and a boat (Jesse Williams fans, you’ve got a good reason to watch this episode); beyond just that, the show likes to name its episodes after song titles and there are probably only so many good ones out there about boats. This song, “Come on Down to My Boat, Baby,” is from Every Mother’s Son. Clearly, someone decided that they didn’t want to use “I’m on a Boat” from The Lonely Island.
Below, the Grey’s Anatomy season 14 episode 6 synopsis gives you a little more in the way of good scoop regarding what’s coming in this episode:
“Jackson decides he needs some time off and invites the guys to join him on a day out at sea, while Arizona, April and Maggie treat a woman who is hiding a deadly secret.”
What prompts Jackson to take a little bit of time off? We figure that it could be many different things, but the stress of having to be both a prolific doctor and also the son of Catherine Avery has to be a tremendous amount of stress. This is without even mentioning some of what’s happened in the aftermath of Catherine Avery’s death.
As for the women…
On the surface it is Arizona, April, and Maggie who are clearly getting the short end of the stick in this episode. While the guys go off to have a good time the women get saddled with a super-difficult medical case; granted, we do have a feeling here at CarterMatt that the guys’ adventures on the high seas aren’t going to be anywhere near as easygoing or as pleasurable as they think. They rarely ever are when it comes to Grey’s Anatomy.
