Ray Donovan season 6 spoilers: Series boss teases New York setting
These ghosts are not going to be going away. It’s as simple as that. With this in mind, Ray should start to transfix himself on the horizon and determining what is going to be coming up next for him. New York isn’t a fresh star per se, but it is on the other side of the country and some of the ghosts may fade away.
So just how different will the show be? This is something that executive producer David Hollander shared some more light on TVLine:
“There are going to be a lot of changes. The silhouette of Ray Donovan will, in many ways, remain untouched. But there’s also an opportunity to have him inhabit the city in a way [that regular New Yorkers] truly inhabit it. He surely won’t be whipping around Manhattan in a Mercedes. I’m sure he’ll be much more on foot, and much more outside of the city, too.”
Ray Donovan season 6 is going to be a necessary evolution in the show, and while the move is nerve-wrecking we are approaching it with a certain level of excitement. What’s one of the ways in which we’re doing that? By not keeping things the same. Ray could’ve stayed in Los Angeles and we could’ve had a decent season 7. Homeland is a show that has benefited from different settings over the years, and the same could be said here. Alas, we’re probably going to be waiting for a while (think a year) in order for us to learn precisely how everything is going to unfold for the character.
