A MacGyver season 2 Christmas episode on the way
Just in case this wasn’t reason enough for you to be excited about some of what is coming up here, maybe the following is: The director. As you can see in the two different Twitter images below Carlos Bernard of 24 fame is going to be helming this installment, which features both Mac and Jack in some sort of festive garb. This is not the first time that Bernard has directed an episode in the past; he has held this role in the past for another Peter Lenkov series in Hawaii Five-0 to go along with an episode of Criminal Minds.
This isn’t the first time that we’ve see MacGyver do something holiday-themed (there was something that was a part of the first season of the show) so this time around, we a feeling that we’ll be seeing them get creative here. We’d love to a see a mission that features a little bit of holiday spirit somewhere into it, or one that gives you a little more holiday-related content than the show did during the first season.
One way or another we feel like this will be fun — it is the first time that we’re going to see a Christmas episode both for Matty Webber and also Samantha Cage (who were not a part of the show last year) so with that, we’re very curious to see what transpires for them. It looks as though this episode is the 11th one in production — that doesn’t necessarily mean that it will be the 11th one to come on the air (we’ve certainly seen shows shoot out of order before), but it’s something to keep in mind in the weeks to come.
For those of you out there who love Carlos Bernard, here’s something else that you should know: He will be appearing on Supergirl Monday night in the role of Maggie’s father! If you haven’t heard much else about that role, here’s a sneak peek for the episode that you can enjoy.
