Chicago PD season 5 episode 6 spoilers: Key story for Hailey Upton

If you’ve been looking to learn more information about Haley Upton for quite some time, Chicago PD season 5 episode 6 is for you! This installment will give you a little more insight on her history in the force — at least in terms of someone she’s had some run-ins with in the past.

11/01/2017 (10:00PM – 11:00PM) (Wednesday) : UPTON MUST WORK WITH A VICE COP SHE DISLIKES TO HELP INTELLIGENCE CRACK A DRUG-RELATED MURDER. A picture perfect family is shot dead in their home and the team goes in search of a drug dealer with a likely connection. Voight (Jason Beghe) asks for the help of Vice Sergeant Sean McGrady (guest star Wil Traval) who has an old beef with Upton (Tracy Spiridakos). When McGrady turns up dead during the investigation, the case takes an unlikely turn. Also starring Jon Seda, Jesse Lee Soffer, Patrick Jonh Flueger, Elias Koteas, Marina Squerciati, LaRoyce Hawkins, and Amy Morton. Guest starring Mykelti Williamson, Wendell Pierce and Sharrieff Pugh. We heard about Traval’s casting a while ago, and we wondered whether or not he was some sort of love interest. However, upon hearing this latest bit of news it doesn’t quite seem that way. The problem here turns more into Upton first trying to figure out precisely how to work with McGrady, but then trying to settle things and fight for justice with him gone.

One of the things we do know is that at some point this season we’re going to see an Upton love interest. Personally, we’d love for it to be Kevin Atwater, but it’s probably too early for us to be able to say that with the information that we do have. Maybe at some point in the near future we’ll get a little more insight on where her personally life is now but it’s probably a little too early to tell.

What’s also interesting about this synopsis is that it references almost nothing else when it comes to the story of this episode beyond just Voight and Upton’s storylines. We would like for there to be some lightness sprinkled in here somewhere, if for no other reason than that this is not something we’ve had a chance to see much of as of late on this show. Especially when you compare it to Chicago Fire this season of PD to date has been exceptionally dark.
