Longmire season 6 video: Robert Taylor, Adam Bartley’s chat with fans
If you look below, you can see the latest Facebook Live chat from the two actors, who are of course responsible for playing the parts of Walt Longmire and The Ferg on the show. It’s relaxed, it’s interactive, and it’s also a ton of fun as they talk about making the show and celebrate the people who got them six seasons of it in the first place.
One of the things that the two remind us of in this live chat is that while Longmire may be ending its TV run, it was technically not canceled. There is a distinction between the two, with cancellation often being the situation where you are told your show is ending after all of the episodes are filmed; with that, you don’t have the opportunity to actually send the show off into the sunset. Longmire had that change and there will be a conclusive feeling to the final episodes that you have a chance to watch on the streaming service.
So what about movies? will there be an opportunity to see some of these? While there are obviously many hurdles that will need to be jumped through, Taylor and Bartley are both optimistic and are trying to make something happen. Patience is really the key here since it may be longer than the typical year-long hiatus for one to come up. Our hope is just that if it happens, it happens in a shorter amount of time than what it took for the Veronica Mars movie to be made. That took FOREVER.
One of the other entertaining things about this video is seeing Bartley reference the fact that Taylor has both an American accent and an Australian one — we do wonder if these ever get confusing in his mind given that he spends so much time in both countries. This is just one of a few funny moments that are spread around in here as the guys hang out and joke around with fans. It’s a fun way to spend half an hour if you’re a Longmire fan — we know it’s a long hiatus but have a good feeling it’ll be worth it. We’ll have more coverage at CarterMatt along the way.
