NCIS: New Orleans season 4 spoilers: Kelly Hu playing Patton’s ex-wife
We’ve had a few personal stories already this season and another one is coming in the form of Lasalle’s father; learning more about Patton’s past will be an interesting continuance of this. He is someone who naturally want to know more about, and a part of the excitement here is seeing that it is none other than Kelly Hu (Arrow, Warehouse 13, Martial Law) who is playing the aforementioned part.
For a few more details, you really don’t have to look beyond the official CBS synopsis below:
“The Accident” – NCIS is called in to investigate after a clinical trial of brain implants in Veterans is hacked. Also, Patton must work alongside his ex-wife, Doctor Anna Yoon (Kelly Hu), who spearheads the project, on NCIS: NEW ORLEANS, Tuesday, Nov. 7 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
There are certainly some other things that are interesting about this case beyond just the presence of Hu, with one of them being the following question: Who would want to look into a clinical trial of brain implants? Clearly, this is the sort of operation that is being done with the best of intentions: Trying to help combat veterans who have been through some of the worst stuff imaginable to any of us. Is this trial doing something harmful, whether intentionally or not? Or, is someone trying to extract this data and use it more for personal gain?
Either way, Patton fans should be pleased given that this is one of those occasions where you’ve got a chance to learn a little bit more about this character. The way some of these procedurals work is that you’re lucky to get one or two opportunities to get to know characters more over the course of a year; we’ll take this one.
Here’s a fun NCIS franchise fact — Hu previously appeared on both NCIS and NCIS: Los Angeles in a different role, but it was back at the very start of LA. She’s far from the only person within this franchise who has done that.
Are you excited to meet Patton’s ex-wife on NCIS: New Orleans?
