The Grey’s Anatomy 300th episode synopsis invokes memories

The Grey’s Anatomy 300th episode synopsis is now online, and based on some of what we’ve got at the moment there is one thing that we can say. Is that all we’re going to get?

It’s understandable that everyone would want to be secretive about this installment, which carries with it the title of “Who Lives, Who Dies, Who Tells Your Story” (Hamilton reference!) — it’s a huge milestone episode, and it is the show celebrating something that only a select few actually get a chance to celebrate. Think about how many shows make it here, and also how many get a chance to keep going after the fact. There is no specific end date in sight for the ABC series and there’s something joyous about that.

Now, without further ado, let’s bring you that aforementioned Grey’s Anatomy 300th episode synopsis (via SpoilerTV) — just don’t get your hopes up all that much:

“An accident at the county fair sparks memories for the doctors.”

Yep, that’s everything that you are getting, but there is still something interesting about this. Does this mean that we’re getting a clip show? We don’t necessarily think that — it could be the producers flashing back at various times that are actually still new scenes, however difficult that could be given that there are so many characters from the past who are no longer a part of the show. We’d do a happy dance if we were to see Patrick Dempsey, Sara Ramirez, or even Katherine Heigl on the show again in the future — you can’t just forget about the characters who were a part of the show in the past. We just don’t think that the odds of this happening are all that high for a number of different reasons. We’d be surprised if this is a straight-up clip show, but it probably is also too early to see just what ABC is planning without any of the promotional material out there for this episode just yet (such as photos).

Flashbacks are something Grey’s Anatomy can do really well — we’ve already written a piece at CarterMatt about the next new episode “Danger Zone,” which is heavy on them and features Owen, Megan, and others.

This episode is the seventh one of this season, and in a matter of weeks it will be here. For now, just start getting prepared for it — knowing Grey’s Anatomy, it will invoke all sorts of emotions.
