Quantico season 3 read-through coming for Priyanka Chopra, cast

While you wait for some Quantico season 3 premiere date news, we do have something else report that may be very much celebrated by some out there: Confirmation that the first table read is happening!

In a new post on Twitter, new showrunner Michael Seitzman confirmed that the first read-through of some of what lies ahead is happening today for Priyanka Chopra and the rest of the cast. Isn’t that exciting? It’s absolutely been a long time coming and something that we’re excited for, given that it marks the first of many big milestones for the show before it comes back on the air in the new year. There are several big changes to the show this season (you can read about some of them here), but there are some returning cast members and the show is looking to appeal still to an audience that loved much of what they saw over the course of the first two seasons of the show.

As for what the start of production coming up means for likely Quantico season 3 premiere dates, odds are you will be waiting for a little while. When you look at the current state of ABC’s schedule it feels like the earliest we could see Quantico surface on the air would be late January, but with its production window in mind we wouldn’t be surprised if the show holds off on premiering until at some point in March. That will still be enough time to give you the full scope of its season before the end of the TV season proper depending on how some of those episodes are scheduled out. (There could be, for example, a two-hour premiere or finale.)

If you still love a good spy drama more than likely Quantico will deliver — Seitzman is very good at combining story-of-the-week plots with larger narratives, and that is something that he has done effectively for the past two years on CBS’ Code Black. He is pulling double duty with both that show and Quantico this year, but with Code Black already deep into its own production there may not be as much overlap for him here as there would be if they started at the same time. (Nonetheless, we still don’t have much of an idea as to how in the world this man is sleeping at the moment.)
