Chicago Fire season 6 will feature Antonio Dawson arc — but why?
According to a new report from TV Guide (via Monica Raymund), we are going to have a chance to see Jon Seda pop over from his current Chicago PD gig for multiple episodes as this character — and there is clearly a lot to be excited/interested in seeing as a result of that. After all, this is going to mark an opportunity for us to learn a little bit more about how both Antonio and Gabriella Dawson are doing with their relationship as siblings — but it’s also going to tie into the relationship that Antonio has with his father Ramon. The two have not spoken much since the big anniversary party disaster last season, and signs point to Ramon as being the reason why we are going to be seeing Seda come over to Chicago Fire for a stretch. (As to whether or not Seda continues to still appear on Chicago PD in the interim, that remains to be seen — however, we’re pretty sure that Seda has an army of clones a la Orphan Black given all of the work he’s done on this franchise over the years.)
Brettonio isn’t for sure a thing again within the One Chicago universe just yet, but we do absolutely think that we’re getting there. It feels like it is Ramon that may bring Antonio back around the firehouse, and if he’s spending time with his sister there, it’s hard to avoid him also spending time with Brett. Fingers crossed that we do get a chance to see some of that before too long given how popular the Brettonio pairing was the last time that it was official in the franchise.
For those of you wondering if Raymund is going to be going over to Chicago PD for a guest appearance, our answer is fairly simple: It’s already happened! She already appeared in one episode of PD this season, though it wasn’t tied all that much to Antonio. (It had more to do with the case.)
