Arrow season 6 episode 3 preview: Chastity Dotson arrives as Onyx

Arrow season 6 episode 3, at least a head of time, is an episode that is shrouded in a certain degree of mystery — and with good reason.

What’s one of the biggest reasons for that? The information on Arrow season 6 episode 3 below was first released by The CW earlier this fall, prior to the events of the premiere. With that in mind there is no information regarding any of the supporting characters who were still in the midst of the Liam Yu cliffhanger at that time.

DC CHARACTER ONYX VISITS STAR CITY – A rogue black ops team led by Onyx (guest star Chastity Dotson) breaks into Kord Industries and steals something lethal. Oliver (Stephen Amell) struggles to connect with William (guest star Jack Moore) so he reaches out to a surprising source for help. Kevin Tancharoen directed the episode written by Speed Weed & Oscar Balderrama (#603). Original airdate 10/26/2017.

The primary selling point of this episode in advance is seeing Dotson as this character Onyx — someone who could absolutely be dangerous depending on what she and her team take from Kord Industries. (For those unfamiliar with Dotson and some of her work, you may have seen her on such other shows as In the City, Imposters, or Single Ladies.)

As for the Oliver / William storyline, this is obviously going to be the emotional core of the episode in the way that it has been in the early going this season. Oliver still has to learn how to connect in a way that he has not with many other people to date. The thing about kids is that they are truth-seekers and innately curious. Oliver will need to develop a more honest relationship with William if he wants this relationship to be successful, and it’s with that in mind that he may need some help. While Oliver Queen may excel in a wide array of different facets of his life, we’re not sure that honesty is anywhere near the top of the list. He does have a tremendous amount of work to do in this department.

As for the promo below, let’s just say it’s pretty ironic that we used the Oliver – Green Arrow costume given that you’re about see Diggle in it instead.
