Designated Survivor season 2 episode 5 spoilers: A story of trust
Want to get a little more in the way of news regarding what’s coming? Then you don’t have to look any further than what you see below.
Designated Survivor season 2 episode 5 synopsis – “When a senator appears on the national news and misrepresents a private conversation with the president, Kirkman must win back the American people’s trust, while MI-6 Agent Damian Rennett joins forces with FBI Agent Hannah Wells to help solve an international murder.”
This is a story that you can easily see happening in the modern day really regardless of who the President is — maybe you have a Senator with a very specific viewpoint and with that, they may want to hear whatever they want to hear. This, in turn, becomes super-problematic when this said person decides that they want to use this viewpoint in order to reinforce whatever it is that they want to reinforce. They’re willing to use this for their own benefit and clean up whatever mess that they have to a little bit later.
As for the team-up between Rennett and Wells, that’s not something that we are altogether surprised with. These two characters are probably going to anchor the whole enforcement/espionage part of the season, doing mission in the field while Kirkman handles matters from the Oval Office. The thing with Designated Survivor is that it does bring different things to the table depending on who you are — if you love action the show has that, and the same thing goes for if you love storylines that are a little bit more political and plodding in nature. We’ll see where this story goes in the end.
The promo below gives you a sense of everything that is coming up, and there’s a good reason why this installment is called “Suckers.” Basically, this is what Kirkman supposedly called Americans, and this is causing a pretty significant crisis in the country.
