Scorpion season 4 episode 5 preview: Prepare to ‘Sci Hard’

There are few things worth being excited about right away when it comes to Scorpion season 4 episode 5, but at the top of the list is the title. “Sci Hard” is a pretty brilliant name for this episode — it’s a wonderful not to Die Hard, and we also wonder what this means the team could be up to. We’re not sure that any of them draw much of a comparison to Bruce Willis, but we suppose that Cabe probably comes closer than anyone else on the team does.

Scorpion season 4 episode 5 synopsis – “While attending a tech convention, Team Scorpion is taken hostage by a group attempting a virtual heist, on SCORPION, Monday, Oct. 23 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.”

As we’ve said before, seeing Team Scorpion at the center of some high-stakes drama at a tech convention is ultimately rather sad in some ways. If there was one place that was meant to be a safe haven for these people, this was probably it! Yet, at the same time it feels like a tech convention is the last place that hackers would want to invade given that there are probably a ton of people there who are going to know how to handle any sort of hack that is thrown at them. There is a pretty good reason for these adversaries to be afraid — very afraid — about what they could be facing if they tick off a bunch of tech geeks.

We do wish that we knew more about this episode in advance, but if we are to use Die Hard for the time being as a template (it really makes sense to do so given what we know about the installment at the moment) what we would assume is that this is going to be one of the most eventful, action-packed installments that we’ve seen on this show for a rather long time. We like that the show is really alternating between some of the action-oriented episodes and smaller, more intimate missions this time (even if there is also some action in these, as well).
