Gotham season 4 episode 7 spoilers: The Professor Pyg mystery continues

Gotham season 4 episode 7 is absolutely thinking outside the box, and they are doing this courtesy of the Professor Pyg. This is a character we already wrote about over at the link here and in the process of that, we made some of our thoughts clear. This is one of the more disturbing villains that we’ve had a chance to see since the start of the show and as a result of that, we’re going to potentially see things becoming all the more chaotic with him around. He’s got a very specific manner of torturing the people in the city, and in some ways it will be exciting to watch unfold. However, in some other ways it’ll be terrifying.

Pyg will continue his arc on the show on the aforementioned November 2 episode, and it’s one that you can read a little bit more about courtesy of the synopsis below:

“With Professor Pyg (guest star Michael Cerveris) striking fear throughout Gotham, Gordon and Bullock head into the Narrows to look for clues. Bruce Wayne meets a former friend, Grace (guest star Samia Finnerty), who convinces him to come along for a night out with some old classmates. Meanwhile, Sofia’s relationships with Penguin and Gordon continue to evolve in the all-new “A Dark Knight: A Day in the Narrows” episode of GOTHAM airing Thursday, Nov. 2 (8:00-9:01 PM ET/PT) on FOX.”

Aside from the Professor Pyg investigation one of the things that we’re most interested in seeing here is Grace, Bruce Wayne’s friend. Can Bruce even have friends at this point in his life? There’s an interest that comes with seeing if Bruce still has that element of normalcy within him given that he has shifted and evolved so much from the kid that he was at the start of the show. He may not be able to have a whole lot of friends anymore since, as David Mazouz told us before the season, he’s almost now in a position where he’s more himself as a vigilante than he is as Bruce Wayne. Plus, getting old friends involved in his life could end up putting a target on him. This is, unfortunately, the sort of lesson that he is going to have to learn the hard way.

By the end of this episode, we anticipate that some storylines are going to start to come to a peak. For example, how long can Sofia Falcone continue to walk the line in the city, and how long can a guy like Professor Pyg really stick around? There are some exciting things that should be coming our way on the show soon and we’re very much intrigued to see how some of the stories are going to play out.
