When will Chicago Fire season 6 likely start its hiatus?
On Thursday, November 2, we know that there is a big episode coming up for the Stella Kidd character in particular, and it’s something that you can check out more over at the link here. This episode will be the last for the NBC show in its normal timeslot for at least the remainder of the year, and there is a fairly substantial reason for that: NFL football. You may not love it, but we’re getting used to it screwing up the schedule at this point. NBC pays a ton of money to broadcast some of these Thursday night games, but we also understand why given that they generate great ratings for them and also serve as a pretty fantastic platform for some of the network’s programming.
Now, the question that you have to wonder when reading this news is simply this: Does the NFL hiatus mean that this is the last Chicago Fire season 6 episode you’re going to get in 2017? You have to consider the possibility but at the same exact time nothing is altogether guaranteed. You could very easily see another episode coming if NBC schedules some sort of epic crossover event, and that is certainly possible. After all, Chicago Med will be premiering in late November and after we get to that point, every single iteration of the show is going to be out there. We don’t think that the network or the producers would want to do something before then — there are some Chicago Med cliffhangers that need to be resolved and it would almost feel like a disservice to have them tied up on a different show or a part of a larger story that glosses over them in some way.
At the moment, we’re excited for every story on Chicago Fire when you consider where the story has left off — Casey just got a promotion to Captain, after all, and Hope’s motives are slightly more nefarious than anyone first thought given that we’ve learned she has a history of stealing money from her employers.
