Fear the Walking Dead season 3 finale spoilers: Nick interrogated

When the Fear the Walking Dead season 3 finale airs on AMC Sunday night there is one thing Daniel Salazar will want: Revenge. It really shouldn’t be altogether difficult to figure out why, either. Daniel spent most of the third season fighting to reunite with his daughter Ofelia, and now, we’re at a point here where he has lost much of that motivation. Ofelia is dead. Like much of what else he cared about in his life, it’s gone. Daniel is really not the sort of person you want to see completely unhinged, mostly because you don’t quite know how he is going to act in any situation. He could fly off the handle, or do something that nobody will ever seen coming.

For the time being, it appears that the mission that he’s got is pretty singular: Trying to determine what exactly happened to cause the zombies to arrive at Broke Jaw Ranch in the first place. He’s basically on a witch hunt, and it could eventually fall on Nick to decide whether or not he wants to expose Troy for some of what he did. The entire sneak peek below is an interrogation, and a pretty intense one at that. We’re seeing Salazar really hit Nick with a lot of different questions, including why Nick wasn’t able to issue much of a warning and why he didn’t react quickly enough to meet some of his specifications. You can feel that Nick has to walk on eggshells here, given that the alternative is that Salazar blames him directly and this becomes a bloodbath.

While Nick may not know the entirety of Daniel’s life story at the moment, we do think that he has to know enough by now to know that this is a pretty dangerous dude.

Could Salazar, Nick, or someone else die in the finale? We have to consider it possible just because this is a show that has killed off many strong characters this season already. Personally, though, we like the current configuration of people and it’d be almost too big a shock to the system if we were to lose someone else.
