Young Sheldon season 2 spoilers: A health scare for George Cooper Sr.
You’ve probably been waiting for some of the first Young Sheldon episode 2 spoilers for quite a while, given that the premiere episode aired weeks ago. Thankfully, we’re finally getting some of the first news for the story now, and it includes the arrival of none other than the incredible Annie Potts in the role of Meemaw. She’s going to be a regular in the cast, which makes a good bit of sense given that we know Meemaw is a very essential character to Sheldon’s life and she’s someone we’ve heard about often on The Big Bang Theory. Without her getting on board the show just wouldn’t feel anywhere near as complete.

“Poker, Faith, and Eggs”– When George Sr. is rushed to the emergency room, Meemaw (Annie Potts) comes to babysit, and the kids have an adventure getting to the hospital on their own, when YOUNG SHELDON returns in its new time period, Thursday, Nov. 2 (8:31-9:01 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
Will this episode actually do away with Sheldon’s father so early on in the show? We know that eventually we are going to see the death of George Cooper if the series lasts long enough, but it doesn’t feel as though we are anywhere near that point in the story at the moment. There’s a lot of time to get us closer to when something could happen here. The writers could change the story to however they see fit, but they’ve got a dynamic at the moment to explore and there is SO much material that can be mined out of the relationship between Sheldon and his father.
We’ll see how well Young Sheldon fares once it settles into its new timeslot. It did premiere to some pretty monster ratings, and it is with that in mind that NBC decided to greenlight it for a full season.
