Blindspot season 3 episode 2 spoilers: Jane, Weller, and a new normal

Blindspot season 3 episode 2

When Blindspot season 3 episode 2, entitled “Enemy Bag of Tricks,” airs on NBC one thing will feel clear: This show is very different than it once was. Not only that, but Jane Doe is different. She has to figure out a way to cope with the new tattoos that are going to start to define her on the show, while also working to the best of her ability to solve some cases for the FBI. The series will be returning to more of an established equilibrium in this episode, but in the process there is also going to be some chaos that everyone will need to take on.

Want to see a little more insight surrounding what is coming up? Then we simply suggest that you check out the official synopsis courtesy of NBC:

“As the team adjusts to their new dynamic — and the new tattoos — they battle a dangerous foreign power that is trying to hijack a satellite. Starring Sullivan Stapleton (Kurt Weller), Jaimie Alexander (Jane Doe), Rob Brown (Edgar Reade), Audrey Esparza (Tasha Zapata), Ashley Johnson (Patterson) and Luke Mitchell (Roman). Guest Starring Mary Stuart Masterson (Eleanor Hirst), Jordan Johnson-Hinds (Stuart), Calvin Dutton (Dwire), Sathya Sridharan (Nikhil), Daniel Lissing (Tom Jakeman), Amy Rutberg (Marci Booth), Roy James Wilson (Hunter #1), Jonathan W. Lee (Shady North Korean Man) and Reshma Shetty (Megan).”

Is keeping the majority of the upcoming story a secret one of the new marketing strategies of NBC? You would probably wonder that after looking at this synopsis! They are clearly intent on creating as many mysteries as they possibly can entering this season and we imagine that they’re going to continue to lead into that. The more that they keep certain elements of the story under wraps the more they can further incentivize people to watch.

Basically, battling the “dangerous foreign power” is going to be one of the key elements of this story, but this seems to be the same sort of procedural story-of-the-week that you’ve seen Blindspot take on in the past. There’s nothing about this superficially that infers you are going to see something outside the box play out; the structure of the show may be somewhat the same, but the parameters are different. This could be one of the focal points of excitement as the third season presses on since you have the time jump, the glowing tattoos, and some other things to think about now than you did before.
