When Ray Donovan season 5 episode 10 airs on Showtime in one week’s time, it feels as though there is going to be one word for it: Crazy. We’re going to have a chance to see the aftermath of tonight’s Natalie James shocker, and it’s going to be tough for Ray since he just has this horrible habit of losing everyone he loves in one way or another. We wish we could say that this episode will be easier on him, but the reality is that it probably won’t be. This is a man who probably just has to get used to trouble in one form or another from now until the show comes to a close.

Going to war with Sam Winslow is a risky proposition for Ray, but at the moment, how much does he really have to lose? This is the most broken we’ve ever seen him in terms of coping with loss, and much of his own personal is changing. Sam is a dangerous opponent for him to take on — she’s tough, she’s smart, and she knows where a heck of a lot of bodies are buried in Hollywood.

This is a show that is going to stay dark and twisted, so don’t necessarily think that what’s going to be going on with Ray in this episode is the same as what will in the two more episodes coming this season. This is arguably when the show is in its most unpredictable state.
