Poldark season 3 episode 3 (PBS): A new Morwenna suitor
If you read the Winston Graham novels, you know that there is some trouble coming in the midst of the burgeoning relationship with Drake and Morwenna: A new suitor, someone who is brought on mostly by George, who causes some significant problems in her life and in her hopes of having a happy, romantic future for herself. We hesitate to say too much more than this, knowing that there are so many twists and turns that viewers out there can anticipate.
Let’s start things off here, though, by getting into some of the core details for what is coming up. For a little insight on that, just take a look below:
Poldark season 3 episode 3 synopsis – “A failed harvest incites food riots, which George handles harshly. Demelza and Ross get a family addition. Morwenna gets an unwelcome suitor. A clever plan to import grain foils George.”
There’s clearly some good news in here when it comes to Ross and Demelza — even in spite of everything that they have gone through over the years with this show, their lives do continue to move forward. They’ll get a chance to be accustomed to this next phase of their lives, but there will be some other issues that they run into every step of the way. Just one of them comes via George, who is going to continue to try to use more of his power in order to get more of what he wants — total control, money, and power. He doesn’t care whether or not the so-call underlings in Cornwall are suffering or not?
At some point in time, one of the questions that could come up for Ross is whether or not he should act to try and help his people — and if he does, what this said “acting” is going to look like. Will he be able to find much of an accurate way to lend a helping hand? Or, are we looking more at a situation where most of his attempts will be foiled?
As for Morwenna, the biggest thing that we can tease here is to not expect a resolution to this story anytime soon. One will be coming, but it’s not one that will happen at any point in the near future. Be prepared for an emotional roller-coaster ride for many of the weeks ahead.
