A look at another Poldark season 4 filming location
Often when we think of this series, one of the first things that we do tend to think about are the rolling hills and rocky cliffs of Cornwall; or, we think about some of the beautiful beaches that the characters wander down with somber expressions on their faces. We don’t often necessarily think about forests; we have seen scenes there before, but it’s not the first thought that enters your mind.
Director Joss Agnew did just offer up one photo of season 4 filming in the woods (see below), and we do think that this one is especially beautiful. Go ahead and picture Ross, Demelza, Drake, Elizabeth, Morwenna, or any other character you want in there. The scene is going to be rather stunning no matter what! Filming first kicked off weeks ago on the new season, which will leap forward once again and adapt more material from author Winston Graham. We’re not going to say any more here out of fear of spoilers, but there’s every reason to believe the story will satisfy. If you have enjoyed Poldark to date, why would you feel anything but thrilled to see more of what the BBC series has to offer?
We don’t share unauthorized set images at CarterMatt (as in from people who don’t work on the show) but we have certainly seen many photos online of many cast and crew members battling the conditions. The truth is that it rains a lot in Cornwall. A LOT, especially compared to some locations here in America. While acting may lend itself to being a wonderful career for those lucky enough to land big roles, it’s not often anywhere near as glamorous as one would think.
Poldark season 4 will continue filming in the UK over the course of the next several months; work should conclude on location in the spring, leading up to (hopefully) a summer premiere on the BBC. We’ll of course continue to share little teases on production every step of the way.
