Poldark season 3 episode 2 teases (PBS): Love is in the air
The five CarterMatt teases below should serve as a pretty reasonable chance to get some more news on what’s coming. Note that there are no major spoilers ahead, so you can read forward with relative confidence — this, as it is every week, is much more about teasing what is coming up more so than spelling it all out for you.
1. Be prepared to see George doing more of what he does best — trying his best to cause further division between the Poldark family and Trenwith. Ross is going to be put into a position where he has to warn Demelza’s brothers Sam and Drake about some of the troubles that await them in Trenwith in the event they opt to step foot onto that property.
2. There is going to be a Romeo & Juliet sort of romance that forms between two new characters to this season, and their relationship is going to be a huge fixture in most of the remainder of the season.
3. Be prepared to see George try to buy his wife’s happiness — as you would expect, he doesn’t quite know how to do so using something as simple as an actual personal connection. He’s going to be stooping to this level instead.
4. In terms of providing brilliant one-liners there is no one better at it than Agatha; this episode is additional proof of this very thing.
5. At the end of the episode it’s going to be abundantly clear that Ross does need to embark on a new mission, one that is done very much because of the concern that he is feeling towards Dwight Enys. This is a storyline that will be an even larger part of episode 3, just in case you wanted a warning on that subject now.
Poldark season 3 episode 2 will overall continue to move the show forward at a fairly methodical pace. This is not a story meant to surprise you per se, but it is one meant to set even more foundations that are hopefully going to pay off more once you arrive a little bit further down the road. You’ll be emotional at times but also laugh at others.
In case you missed it…
