Jane the Virgin season 4 episode 2 spoilers: The Tyler Posey story ahead

Jane the Virgin season 4 episode 2

When Jane the Virgin season 4 episode 2 airs on The CW on Friday, October 20, you’ll see more of the story for Tyler Posey. His character Adam first showed up at the end of the third season and he’s a character who does hold a good bit of significance to Jane. He’s her first love! There is always an attachment that comes along with that; as a result of it, she may find it rather thrilling to have him back around. He reminds her of a different time in her life, and that can help her to deal with some recent stresses.

However, in turn there could also be some problems that she finds herself running up against. Take, for example, realizing that the relationship is still new and there are many ways in which it could go wrong. The new synopsis below offers up a hint of what one of those things could be:

“Jane’s (Gina Rodriguez) burgeoning relationship with Adam (guest star Tyler Posey) helps bring out her fun side and reminds her that she isn’t just a mom. However, when Adam gets a job opportunity, he asks for Jane’s opinion on if he should stay or go. Rogelio (Jaime Camil) is facing issues with his co-star at work and things are about to get even worse for him. Xo (Andrea Navedo) is helping to take care of Darci (guest star Justina Machado) to prove that Rogelio is committed to being a father to the baby. Meanwhile, Petra (Yael Grobglas) and Rafael (Justin Baldoni) are working together to try and buy back the hotel, but are running into trouble, causing tension between them. Ivonne Coll also stars. Gina Lamar directed the episode written by Valentina Garza & Jessica O’Toole & Amy Rardin (#402). Original airdate 10/20/2017.”

Could Jane the Virgin really lose Tyler Posey so quickly? We do have to consider that a strong possibility based mostly on the fact that he is a busy guy and there are some other projects on his slate — including the upcoming third iteration of Scream on MTV. Still, we at CarterMatt don’t foresee this as being a sure-fire sign that he’s gone from the show entirely now or down the road. There are always opportunities for people to return on this show, and with a show like this there’s every reason to want to come back given that you’re talking about a show so full of constant humor and light.

As for some of the other stories, it certainly looks like everyone from Petra to Rafael to Rogelio is going to be rather busy. There are no shortage of struggles ahead.
