The Jane the Virgin season 4 premiere is airing on The CW this October, and based on what we’re seeing, things are going to be crazy! The first episode of the show is going to find Jane and Rafael in a very interesting position. There are feelings between Jane and Rafael, and those probably aren’t going to go away. However, how do these feelings manifest themselves?
As Gina Rodriguez, Justin Baldoni, and Yael Groblas explain in the new CW video below, the dynamic in season 4 between the Jane, Rafael, and Petra characters is different than it’s been before. After all, they are well aware that they’re not kids anymore, and they have responsibilities that they have to deal with. There can’t just be comedic love triangles that don’t have an impact on anyone. To make matters all the more complicated, there’s also the presence of Adam on the show. For Jane / Rafael ‘shippers, maybe they don’t see his presence as good news in the slightest. Yet, we’re always happy to see Tyler Posey on the show, especially in terms of seeing him in this comedic, lighthearted setting. It’s a different universe than we’re used to seeing him in, and the prospects of him doing some new and exciting things are fun in our mind.
For more news on what’s coming in this premiere episode alone, just take a look at the synopsis below:
“When Jane (Gina Rodriguez) is reunited with her first love, Adam (guest star Tyler Posey), she is shocked but happy to see him, however Xo (Andrea Navedo) and Alba (Ivonne Coll) are less thrilled that he is back. After Rafael (Justin Baldoni) loses ownership of the hotel to his sister, he finds himself at Jane’s house, broke and homeless. Jane and Rafael learn that Petra (Yael Grobglas) has been found and they rush to her aide, but Anezka (Yael Grobglas) is nowhere to be found. Meanwhile, Xo and Rogelio (Jaime Camil) wedded bliss is interrupted when they confront the realization that Darci (guest star Justina Machado) is having Rogelio’s baby and she wants full custody. Brad Silberling directed the episode written by Jennie Snyder Urman & Paul Sciarrotta (#401). Original airdate 10/13/2017.”
One thing that we can always count on with Jane the Virgin, regardless of if it’s either the premiere or the finale, is that things are going to move at a pace where there are some constant twists and turns. Therefore, we should tell you that if you love the show, you should probably expect more of what you’ve come to love over time.
