Aside from this personal struggle, the group’s going to quickly realize that they have some significant business struggles, as well. They think that they’ve got a prominent TV gig with a recording artists who could boost their career, but soon after that they learn that it’s anything but what they expected. Take a look at the synopsis below for a little bit more news on that.
STAR season 2 episode 3 synopsis – “While preparing for an upcoming TV appearance with recording artist Noah Brooks (Luke James), the girls quickly learn that they will be singing backup instead of co-headlining the performance. Anxious for the girls’ next big move, Carlotta turns to the new A&R executive, Maurice (Lance Gross), for help on a new deal. Meanwhile, Jahil tries his hand at producing music, Cotton struggles with starting her new job and Star comes face-to-face with an unexpected person from her past in the all-new “FUA… Good Night!” episode of STAR airing Wednesday, Oct. 11 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. (LDS-203)
What makes this story so effective is the same thing that you’ve seen on STAR through the first season and two episodes of season 2 to date — the slow build. The show’s given you a chance to get to know these characters and what they want, but it’s not altogether keen on giving them the end result right away. This is going to be a journey and a progression to get them from people A to point B. It’s exciting, but it also makes sense if you’re nervous about some stumbles. We do believe that they’ll make it in the end, but it’s still rather difficult to predict exactly when that is going to be. (We do know that we’d like to see a couple of seasons with the girl group actually having everything they want, though!)
