Law & Order: SVU season 19 episode 3: Brooke Shields, Peter Hermann appearing
there are a couple of different things that are going to be notable about this episode, with the first being that you’ve got a pretty gruesome crime at the center of the hour. Beyond that, you also do have some notable guest stars! Peter Hermann is coming back as Langan for the first time in years, and we certainly wish that was good news for Benson. Meanwhile, this episode also marks the debut appearance for Brooke Shields, a legendary performer playing a role still shrouded in mystery. She seems to be very excited about this part, and all indications are that she will be around for more than just one episode. (Oh, and one more great guest star who can’t be ignored — Annabeth Gish! You’ve probably come to love her from either The X-Files, Sons of Anarchy, The Bridge, or a wide array of other things over time.)
The synopsis below should serve as a nice little resource for some more news regarding what’s coming up next.
Law & Order: SVU season 19 episode 3 synopsis – “When a man is found castrated and left for dead, Rollins (Kelli Giddish) and Carisi (Peter Scanavino) uncover three female suspects with possible motives. Meanwhile, Langan (guest star Peter Hermann) brings devastating news for Benson (Mariska Hargitay). Also starring Ice T (Det. Odafin Tutuola) and Raul Esparza (ADA Rafael Barba). Also guest starring Paul Fitzgerald (Jason Karr), Annabeth Gish (Carolyn Rivers), Betsy Beutler (Julie Wade), Jeannine Kaspar (Nora Galen) and Kathleen Munroe (Evelyn Bundy).”
Sound interesting? We once again find ourselves in that odd place where we are both excited but also nervous given what could happen to Benson moving forward.
As for the promo
This isn’t the most spoilery one ever when it comes to anything that we’ve mentioned. Instead, it focused more on the dismemberment case and the ripped-from-the-headlines aspect of it.

Langan (Hargitay’s real life husband) last represented Noah’s interests in Benson’s adoption case. Given that Noah’s birth parents are both dead, I am wondering if he is going to bring news of other relatives that want to claim custody or visitation, or perhaps something went legally wrong with the adoption itself? Could be interesting.
