American Horror Story: Cult episode 6 will have violent, unfortunately-timed opening

American Horror Story: Cult episode 6

American Horror Story: Cult episode 6 is apparently going to be even more of difficult to digest than some of the others you’ve seen.

According to a new report that is coming in right now via Entertainment Weekly, the show’s upcoming October 10 episode entitled “Mid Western Assassin” is going to feature at the jump a mass shooting. This will be an incredibly violent sequence, and it’s unfortunately coming on the heels of the most violent and deadly mass shooting of its kind ever on American soil. the lives of many people in Las Vegas are still weighing in the minds and hearts of many, and this may not be an easy sequence for some to watch.

So what can FX choose to do about the scene? Given that it is probably essential to the show’s plot it’s hard to necessarily cut the sequence out in full. Yet, at the same time you also probably need to include either some sort of disclaimer or warn viewers that something is coming that they may find difficult to see. Even with this show, which often presents a tableau of pretty terrifying imagery, there may still be some things here or there that are beyond the pale.

Of course, the timing of all of this is unfortunate and merely coincidental, as filming for the latest American Horror Story season actually concluded last month. There was no way that Ryan Murphy or the show’s producers to know what was coming. There is clearly a lot of other stuff coming up in this episode, as well, with Ally and some other characters trying to do whatever they can in order to combat the regime of Kai, a man who has been slowly building more power and influence. This is a genuinely creepy, scary season, and at times it’s because of the thematic content just as much as it is some of the imagery. If you hate clowns especially you should probably know that this story is really not for the faint of heart. American Horror Story has been building a lot of buzz this season because of its edgy content, and we know for some the recency between this and the actual Presidential Election made it a little more difficult to watch.
