Lucifer season 3 video: Tom Ellis, cast on devilish stories ahead
In this new video (which you can see below), you can see Tom Ellis, Lauren German, Aimee Garcia, new cast member Tom Welling, and many more discuss some of the craziness that is going to unfold on the upcoming episodes, and that all begins with the arrival of Lucifer’s wings. He’s a guy who could be in a little bit of an identity crisis when he sees them, and doesn’t quite know what happened in order for them to get there in the first place.
What does seem clear is that Ellis’ character is going to look at these wings as a challenge — he’s going to do his best to defy them and be as devilish as possible in the wake of them turning up. If you enjoyed Lucifer the first two seasons, odds are you will enjoy him so much more here. He’s going to fire off on all cylinders in terms of some of his antics, which will probably be entertaining to us but frustrating to some of the people who have to work with him.
Meanwhile, Welling’s Lt. Marcus Pierce could frustrate both Lucifer and Chloe in a way that they are not used to. He’s been around the force for long enough that he understands how to “motivate” people, and at times that may mean utilizing some tactics that not everyone may enjoy or appreciate. While you see him in this particular video serve as more of a thorn in the side of Chloe, his relationship with her looks as though it’s going to evolve to a point where it becomes problematic for Lucifer in turn. He’s become accustomed to having things a certain way with her, and in between this and some of the feelings that he has for her, this could be one of the most conflicted seasons to date.
For those who love the cases and the more procedural component of the show, don’t worry — that will still be there. It’s just that there is a little more depth to some of these stories, as well.
