Arrow 6×02 and Legends of Tomorrow 3×02 details: Anatoly & freakshows
Arrow 6×02, “Tribute” – “Oliver (Stephen Amell) tries to balance being the mayor, the Green Arrow and a father to William (guest star Jack Moore). Anatoly (guest star David Nykl) returns to Star City with a deadly agenda. Laura Belsey directed the episode with story by Adam Schwartz and teleplay by Marc Guggenheim & Beth Schwartz (#602). Original airdate 10/19/2017.”
It is really good to see Anatoly continue to have a role on this show, given that he has such a lengthy history with Oliver and the two characters know each other so well. The network is clearly still doing what they can to keep the aftermath of the Liam Yu explosion a secret; after all, there hasn’t been much said publicly about the fate of many different characters, though we know that Dinah Drake and Black Siren are at least alive still … plus of course Oliver Queen and William.
Legends of Tomorrow 3×02, “Freakshow” – “The Legends find themselves in 1870 to fix the anachronism which happens to be at P.T. Barnum’s fledgling circus. However, Nate (Nick Zano) and Ray (Brandon Routh) accidently free a saber toothed tiger, creating a bigger problem. Meanwhile, P.T. Barnum (guest star Billy Zane) is on the hunt to capture Nate and Ray to make his show even more exciting for the crowd. Caity Lotz, Maisie Richardson-Sellers, Victor Garber, Dominic Purcell and Franz Drameh also star. Keith Tancharoen directed the episode written by Keto Shimizu & Grainne Godfree (#302). Original airdate 10/17/2017.”
This just sounds like a whole lot of fun. You’ve got Billy Zane playing a crazed version of P.T. Barnum, a saber toothed tiger, and more than likely a bunch of other crazy circus stuff. We’re starting to get more of a sense of how the cliffhanger is playing into the whole season and it feels like a heck of a lot of fun.
